Dear Friends & Partners,
We want to make you aware of an opportunity to give! This season, we are extending faith for the sustainability of a vision we hold to host a missional coffee shop in Ukraine. Kultura is the name of our coffee shop, which means "Culture" in Ukrainian. We desire to bring the culture of heaven to earth in this coffee shop. The operating costs are exceeding our income, and yet we feel the Father's heart and hands on this mission.
We invite you to participate in our missional coffeeshop through giving. We are asking the Lord to meet the needs of our rent and utility costs for the next two years (through 2027) so that we can pivot more of our focus on the primary reason this coffee house exists: to disciple and transform lives. This brings our current fundraising goal to $20,000. By meeting this goal, our missionaries will be able to focus on reaching the people the Lord is bringing to us while ensuring the coffee house continues to operate in a wartime economy.
If you would like to support this work and co-labor with us to change lives, please visit Kultura Partners.
Come, Lord Jesus.
Sincerely, Dennis & Anya Melnichuk & Awakened Generation Team
Welcome to Kultura: a coffee house with a vision to bridge the gap between the church and the world. We longed to see a place where the finger of God would leave its imprint on those who wouldn't otherwise step into a church building. The human heart desires to belong, and we began to notice how many people in our city are searching for a place where they feel truly welcome. So we decided to create such a space.

The primary goal of Kultura is to build a community around the presence of God, which, in turn, will lead to transforming the city around us. Coffee won't do that for you, but friendships soaked in God's presence will. The heartbeat of our team lies in the prayer room within the coffee house. We gather here every morning, Tuesday through Friday, to pray– everything continues to change because of it.

At the coffee shop, local customers stop by (and often leave us a 5-star rating on Google Maps). If you check our reviews, you'll see people rave about our baristas' kindness, the quality of our coffee, and our warm atmosphere. Throughout the day, we see new people stopping by, meeting with friends or colleagues, and orphanage graduates we've met along the way know where to find us. It's not rare to see someone quietly reading their Bible at a table. On Wednesday nights, we host Bible Studies with youth we've encountered during outreaches (second photo above). On other evenings, a variety of social events can take place. Kultura has become a hub where God is meeting people in unexpected ways.

Yet, the Ukrainian economy is heavily struggling. This dream is kept alive by the generous support of our partners. The growth we are seeing in our ministries, along with our overarching vision to serve our community primarily, limits our ability to take usual business-savvy approaches. We are wholeheartedly dependent on God to provide the gift of time and financial resources so we can continue serving our community.

We counted the numbers and see that if our rent and utility costs were covered, we could pivot more of our focus on the primary reason this coffee house exists: to disciple and transform lives.
Thank you for extending faith with us for the sustainability and growth of this vision! Give and track our progress here:
(If our goal is exceeded, funds will be allocated to other needs in our missional work in Ukraine)
